An Xbox engineer asks fans what features they want for their console: Here are some suggestions

Engineer Bill Ridmann, who has worked at Xbox since 2005, recently posted on X asking fans directly.

Xbox is clearly entering a new era now.Ever since Asha Sharma assumed power, the vibe has changed noticeably. It killed the "This is an Xbox" campaign, announced the next-generation hardware Helix, and began rolling out a series of quality updates to the Xbox Series X|S.

For those unfamiliar, check out our previous story:

- Microsoft adopted the "This is Xbox" campaign.

- Project Helix announced: Microsoft's vision for the next Xbox.

With all these changes underway, one question arises: What can be done to improve Xbox consoles?Engineer Bill Ridmann, who has been with Xbox since 2005, recently posted an X directly asking fans, "We're working on bringing new features to the Xbox console! What do you want to add?"

Some of the most popular requests are really interesting. For example, Jez Corden is pushing for the Xbox to get its own version of the PlayStation Platinum Trophy, a special achievement for completing 100% of the game."Completion achievements are something I get asked a lot about," he replied in another post on X.

Others want themed rewards associated with specific achievements, such as icons, backgrounds, and themes. There are also requests for gyroscope control on the controller, the ability to take screenshots from the console, and even return to the classic Xbox 360 interface and avatar.

Sharma himself confirmed in another post on X that Xbox has now created a dedicated team focused solely on fan feedback and new features: "We've created a dedicated team to focus on fan feedback. Some achievements will be updated here today, coming soon."

If you could add one feature to your Xbox right now, what would it be?
