The U.S. Soccer Federation has announced the details of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, which will see Argentina, Canada and Colombia join the U.S. Women's National Team in the competition.
The US Soccer Federation has announced the details of the 2026 She Belize Cup, with Argentina, Canada and Colombia competing in the United States Women's National Team.
All three of the United States' opponents are ranked above 30, with Argentina ranked 30th, Canada 10th, and Colombia 20th.The U.S. women are ranked second behind Spain.
Colombia was a finalist in the 2025 Copa America Femenina, beating Argentina on penalties after a 4–4 draw in the quarter-finals.
"All three of these teams will likely compete in the 2027 World Cup and of course we will see Canada in World Cup qualifying at the end of the year. So as we focus on our continued preparation and growth as a team, the SheBelieves Cup has great value," said Emma Hayes, U.S. national team manager.
“Each team has different strengths and will challenge us to succeed in all areas of the field, which is exactly what we need as we continue to plan for major events in the future.”
The SheBelieves Cup will feature doubleheaders at three different venues.Canada and Colombia will kick off the tournament on March 1 at Joda Park in Nashville, followed by a game between the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) and Argentina later that night.
Three days later, Argentina and Colombia will meet.Followed by the United States and Canada, eternal rivals at the stadium.ScottsMiracle-Gro in Columbus, Ohio
The final day of competition will be March 7 at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, with Canada vs. Argentina, followed by the USWNT vs. Colombia.
The United States has won seven of the last 10 tournaments, but Japan will lift the trophy in 2025.
In terms of opponents in 2026, the U.S.Has won its last six games against Argentina, most recently a 3-0 U.S. win in Louisville, Ky., in October 2024.Against Canada, the USA is 54W-4L-9D all-time, including a 3-0 win in July.
The meeting with Colombia is the 15th time the two teams have met, most recently a 2-0 win in the first game of the SheBelieves Cup 2025. The USWNT is 12W-0L-2D all-time against Las Cafeteras.
The USWNT's match against Colombia saw the American retire last July. Legend Tobin Heath will be honored at the pre-match ceremony.
The New Jersey native played 181 times for the USWNT from 2008-2021 and scored 36 goals to help the U.S. win two World Cups and two Olympic gold medals.He will be inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame on May 1, 2026.
Colombia is making its second appearance at the SheBelieves Cup after finishing third in 2025.Canada will be making its fourth appearance after participating in 2024 (second place), 2023 (fourth) and 2021 (third).This is Argentina's second appearance at the competition, the first being back in 2021 when they finished in fourth place.
The SheBelieves Cup will be the second gathering of the USVNT in 2026 following January's training camp in Los Angeles, which will run from January 17-27, with games against Paraguay on January 24 at Dignity Health Sports Park and against Chile on January 27 at Harder Stadium on the campus of UC Santa Barbara.
