Samsung's next flagship smartphone line, the Galaxy S26 series, is expected to feature the Exynos 2600 chipset in most regions and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in others. However, they may not be the only chips that the three phones in the line will have.
A new Samsung chipset has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG website, the Exynos S6568 (via Diztel). Its description says that this chip offers Bluetooth 6.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity, and will be used with an "Exynos application processor" like the Exynos 2600.
The Bluetooth SIG announced the introduction of Bluetooth 6.1 in May of this year.It offers greater security and better power efficiency compared to Bluetooth 6.0, and is currently the latest and greatest Bluetooth standard. From what we can gather, no devices offer Bluetooth 6.1 at this time.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series in March 2025 (the launch has reportedly been delayed as the brand rearranges the models in the range). At the moment, the phones may be in the final stages of development, which includes certification of their chips and other components.Samsung's confirmation of the Exynos S6568 meanwhile suggests that the brand could use this SoC for the Galaxy S26 series.to use
By offloading Bluetooth and Wi-Fi duties from the Exynos 2600 to the Exynos S6568, we believe Samsung is trying to improve the power efficiency and/or performance and thermal performance of the Exynos 2600. This will help the Galaxy S26 offer improved battery life, run faster, and heat less. However, this is just our guess. We need to see more details about the new chip to know exactly what it is.
