Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been extradited to Miami to face charges of attempted murder in May outside a high-profile boxing event, authorities said.
Miami police officials confirmed Thursday that Brown, 37, was being extradited from Dubai to Miami.

A public affairs officer for the US Marshals Service confirmed that Brown arrived from Dubai earlier Thursday via Newark, New Jersey.
Records show he was booked into the Essex County Jail in New Jersey on Thursday.
While Brown was on the run, Miami police said they released the videos from Dubai.
"He was taunting us saying, 'I'm safe here and that's what we interpreted in these videos, but you know he was laughing when we had the last laugh,'" Mitchell Vaga said.

An off-duty security guard told investigators he left the scene after hearing the gunfire.The same officer said he saw Brown physically fight another person in the parking lot, the warrant states.

In a post on X after the incident, Brown said, "I was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and physically assault me. Contrary to what some videos are circulating, the police temporarily detained me until they got my side of the story and released me. I came home that night and will not speak against the accusers."

Police said Brown will be held in New Jersey pending extradition to South Florida and booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail.
"This is just another example of the tireless work and dedication of Miami police detectives who work closely with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office and the U.S. Marshals to identify and arrest those who commit crimes in the city of Miami," the department said in a statement.
Brown, one of the NFL's most prolific wide receivers, has a long history of disturbing behavior on and off the field, including accusations of sexual assault by two women, one of whom Browne said sexually assaulted her.In 2021, he received a three-game suspension for slandering his Covid-19 vaccination status.
He was also suspended for eight games in 2020 for various violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy, still pursuing any charges against robbery and criminal injury to the rabid bird.
In his NFL career, he finished with 1,221 tackles in 12 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Raiders, Bucklinon and Tampa Bay Lightning.
