I tested the base model 2024 Kindle and fell in love with its slim and portable design.I find myself downloading more e-books from my public library and reading a wider variety of novels because of how easy it was to rent and read them on my heart while I sat on the subway or passed the time in the waiting room of a doctors appointment.The Kindle literally fits in my coat pocket, which is almost a miracle for a woman considering how small women's pockets are.The speed of turning pages and loading books was significantly faster than my 2022 Kindle Oasis or Kindle Paperwhite.

I recommend the base model Kindle for people who have never owned an e-reader before, as the Kindle Paperwhite has a few more features that more bookworms and e-reader enthusiasts would appreciate, but won't detract from e-reader newbies.
