Victor Vembanayama Under 11.5 Rebounds (-132)
Here are some reasons why I fell for Victor Vembanayam's inspiring prop.
While Vembanyama has some big rebounding numbers, he's only averaging 11.2 boards per game on the season.He has finished with 11 or fewer rebounds in seven of his previous 11 games.
There are also a lot of shooting issues as the Spurs have a 12.5 point advantage.Wimbe has played less than 30 minutes in three of his last four games, and he will likely see fewer minutes today.
Finally, the Brooklyn Nets play the third-slowest pace and have been good on the glass against centers, allowing the fifth-fewest rebounds per game over the past 30 games (13.3).
All of this includes my support from the grassroots side for Wembanyama's comeback.
I-Los Angeles Lakers e-Phoenix Suns
Grayson Allen under 17.5 points (-132)
With both Dillon Brook and Devin Booker gone, Grayson Allen will have to take on more of the offensive load, but I think this line is a bit much.
In the same situation last time - without Booker and Brooks - Allen played only 24 minutes and scored only 14 points.
While the overall defense of the Los Angeles Lakers has been poor, they have been very tough in shooting.Over the last 30 games, the Lakers have allowed the second fewest points per game to the SG position (19.2).
In one game against the Lakers this season, Allen scored just 13 points.
Admittedly, the low is a bit scary as Allen is making 9.1 threes per game, but overall, this is a side I want to be on.
New Orleans Pelicans at Utah Jazz
Herbert Jones made 2+ threes (-128)
Herbert Jones has had three fights since this campaign.Today's clash with the Utah Jazz is a great place for Jones to get back on track.
No team allows a higher rate of three-point attempts than the Jazz (45.5%).Small forwards have been making threes this season, and Utah has given up the most 3-pointers per game to SF (3.8) over the last 30 games.
Jones is making just 29.0 percent from three this season, including 25.0 percent this month.But he's a career 35.1 percent three-point shooter and has made at least five threes in three straight games.
In a three-man friendly, Jones should take a healthy amount of shots from downtown, and I'm excited about those -128 odds to get at least two treys.
