The future of New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields is in doubt following New York's 13-6 loss to the Carolina Panthers.Careless.

Carolina took the field three times in the first half and threw for just 46 yards before Glenn moved to Taylor. He finished 10 of 22 for 126 yards and threw two touchdowns to Jaycee Pembe after halftime.

"(I was) a little (surprised), but at the same time, I can't be mad at the decision," Fields said of his benching."I understand why. It's life. It's football. I've learned not to take anything personally. The coach wanted to see if there was a spark."

Failure to score a touchdown for the second straight game is concerning for Fields, whose last successful throw came on a 9-yard throw to Garrett Wilson in a 37-22 loss to the Cowboys on Oct. 5.

Sunday's first down against the Panthers ended on fourth down at Carolina's 330-yard line after Fields failed to connect with Josh Reynolds.New York then converted just twice on third down for three points the rest of the quarter.

"We all have our different opinions," Fields said."I passed 11 or 12 passes in the first half. I had 50 yards, so it's not my decision, and I'm here to be the best teammate, the best person I can be. It's not up to me. I wanted things to go a little differently. I have to work every day the same and try to be a light in the world."

New York's recent surge into the end zone and violence have been on par with his grade.

"We didn't get into the end zone ... much," Fields said.

Glenn faces a decision at Quarterback before weekend game at Cincinnati. He didn't make the leader after he died.Taylor set the Jets up to get going at several points in the second half, but two heavy offenses managed to threaten.

"As a competitor you always want to go, but it's not my decision and I don't feel any sentimentality about what the coach wants to judge," Taylor said."I'll be ready, but I'm also here to support Justin. I have a lot of respect for him and every guy in this room."
