Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang criticizes DLSS 5 in printed Q&A with Tom's Hardware at GTC 2026 The company's new use of artificial intelligence and neural rendering to predict how certain aspects of games will look is critical of DLSS 5.

Huang also said that developers can try out the tool and see how they want to use it, suggesting that a developer should try creating a "toon shader" or see if the game should be "out of glass."
