Cornerback Christian Gonzalez and running back Drake Maye will represent them in the 2026 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced today.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England will be represented at the 2026 Pro Bowl by cornerback Christian Gonzalez and quarterback Drake May, the NFL announced today. The annual All-Star Tournament will be played on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in San Francisco.
Gonzalez earned his first career Pro Bowl selection, while Maye is headed to the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive season, marking the emergence of a young core that helps Bart earn a playoff berth for the first time in four years.
With his selection, Maye became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to begin his career with consecutive Pro Bowl invitations, joining Andrew Luck (three in a row), Russell Wilson (four in a row) and Dan Marino (five in a row).He also joins Hall of Famers Mike Haynes (five in a row) and Curtis Martin (two in a row) as the only players in franchise history to begin their careers with at least two Pro Bowl selections.
Gonzalez is the first defensive player to earn Pro Bowl honors since cornerback JC Jackson in 2021, continuing the tradition of an elite secondary in New England.
In 2025, Gonzalez started all 12 games he appeared in, recording a total of 61 tackles, 10 passes defensed and consistently responding to opponents' primary threats.His production was a key factor in New England ranking seventh in defense in the NFL while ranking among the league leaders in passing efficiency allowed.
May has led one of the most efficient and explosive offenses in the NFL, ranking first in the league in completion percentage (70.9), third in passer rating (108.5) and fourth in passing yards (3,947).Under his direction, the offense ranked sixth in the NFL and seventh in scoring.
